Senior System Engineer – 24V Systems and Vehicle Functions

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer with expertise in electrical low-voltage systems and vehicle functions. This role is ideal for you if you want to combine technical leadership, system development, and requirements management in an advanced development environment within the automotive industry.

You will work on the development, specification, and verification of vehicle functions, as well as be responsible for systems related to 24V architecture and electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

Vehicle Functions (End User Functions)

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of vehicle functions within various software architectures.
• Manage functions such as energy management, vehicle modes, and 24V consumption.
• Develop, document, and maintain functional requirements for different variants, use cases, and applicable regulations.
• Break down product and functional requirements into detailed system requirements.
• Ensure alignment and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Responsible for the verification and validation of functions in both test environments and vehicles.
• Monitor test results, analyze deviations, and drive problem-solving.
• Collaborate with system owners, development teams, and verification functions throughout the entire development process.

24V Systems

• Work on the development and maintenance of electrical low-voltage systems.
• Ensure robust solutions for electrical distribution and system architecture.
• Participate in technical investigations, system design, and improvement work.
• Provide technical leadership and coordination between different technical areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in system development or system design within the automotive industry.
• Experience with requirements management, verification, and validation of vehicle functions.
• Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems and low-voltage architecture (24V).
• Experience with functional safety according to ISO 26262, including FuSa and HARA.
• Knowledge in cybersecurity and TARA.
• Experience with FMEA work.
• Experience with electrified vehicles is a plus.
• Experience with vehicle architectures and complex system environments is a plus.
