Description

Åtteråsskolan is a primary school (grades F-3) located in a beautiful natural environment with approximately 240 students distributed across four grade levels, from preschool class to grade 3. We work with age-homogeneous groups. The preschool class has three parallel classes, while grades 1, 2, and 3 have two parallel classes each.

The educators are organized in a co-teaching system, where two educators with varying degrees of employment share responsibility for a class. Working in a co-teaching system, utilizing six different teaching methods, provides greater security for both educators and students. It also contributes to improved study environment. The co-teaching system has proven to be beneficial for an inclusive classroom climate. Through this system, we can support students in various teaching situations, improve their conditions for achieving goals, create multiple learning environments, and reduce gaps within the classroom.

On our after-school care departments, two educators work together. Each grade level has two educators from an after-school care department who collaborate with a specific grade level, forming a joint work team. In the preschool class, three educators are assigned to individual classes, and one additional educator distributes their class teacher duties across the three classes.

Responsibilities

You will work as a teacher at the school in grades F-3, where we operate in a co-teaching system. You and your teaching colleague are both responsible teachers who teach whole classes, larger or smaller groups, and individually. You will be part of a work team where you jointly lead and develop the pedagogical work towards the goals in the curriculum. The position is adapted based on the school's and students' needs as well as your qualifications. You are well-versed in the governing documents and plan your teaching based on them. You have a strong interest in using modern technology in teaching. In Gislaved Municipality, we use learning tablets as a natural part of the pedagogical work in primary school.

• You are a certified primary school teacher (F-3) and work systematically to improve students' conditions for achieving maximum goal fulfillment.
• You are knowledgeable about working with extra adaptations.
• You are flexible regarding both content and working hours, all to meet our students in the best possible way.
• You are clear, organized, well-structured, receptive, and most importantly – a team player.
• You are engaged in your mission and passionate about leading students in their development, both academically and socially.
• You have a good ability to build good relationships with students and guardians.
• You enjoy leading and/or driving development issues, promoting new thoughts and ideas with your colleagues to move Åtteråsskolan forward.
• You are solution-oriented and have the ability to create a good atmosphere and a good working environment.
