About the Operations

The Adapted Primary School in Degerfors consists of three sections: Grades 1-6 Subjects, Grades 7-9 Subjects, and Grades 1-9 Subject Areas. Grades 1-6 Subjects and Grades 1-9 Subject Areas are located at Parkskolan. Grades 7-9 Subjects are located at Stora Vallaskolan.

Job Responsibilities

You will be present with the students throughout the entire school day, both during lessons, at breaks, and at the after-school center. Together with teaching teachers, you work closely with the students to create conditions for learning towards the goals and participation in the teaching. You work actively together to adapt the teaching, provide adequate care, and develop alternative working methods and use compensatory aids to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment.

We strive to create a whole with learning throughout the day and a common thread between school and the after-school center for the students, and in this work, you have a significant role.

Since the position is primarily directed towards subject areas, it is important to also be able to support in various care issues.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with at least the competence for teaching in preschool/after-school center. You are a positive person with a good ability to create good contact with students, guardians, and colleagues. We see that you have experience working with students in need of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), or alternative complementary communication, and have the ability to interpret social interactions and signals from the students. You listen, communicate, and solve situations in a constructive way while creating engagement and participation. You easily find forms of cooperation and see the work team as an asset. Furthermore, you are engaged with good social skills that contribute to a positive work climate and have the ability to create trusting relationships.

You work based on a clear structure and have good pedagogical skills. As a pedagogue, you adapt the teaching to each student's unique conditions and see school development as a natural part of the assignment. To understand students' different needs, you need to have good analytical and pedagogical ability, high expectations, and a belief that all students can develop.
