The adapted primary school in Degerfors consists of three sections: Grades 1-6 Subjects, Grades 7-9 Subjects, and Grades 1-9 Subject Areas. Grades 1-6 Subjects and Grades 1-9 Subject Areas are located at Parkskolan. Grades 7-9 Subjects are located at Stora Vallaskolan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with students both during school hours and during leisure time. The work involves supporting students throughout the day with everything from learning to meal situations and breaks, etc.

The largest part of the assignment involves supporting students' learning both during school hours and during leisure time. However, since this is an adapted primary school, it is also important to be able to support in various care matters. The work can be physically demanding with heavy lifting.

QUALIFICATIONS

We look for someone with experience working with students who need AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), as well as the ability to interpret social interactions and signals from students. Furthermore, we see that you are an adult role model, and are secure and trust-building with a professional and low-affective approach.

You have completed upper secondary education with a focus on children and leisure or care and nursing, or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have experience working with TAKK (Total Communication). It is meritorious if you have taken an educational assistant course and you should have experience working with people with intellectual and physical disabilities.

You have a great interest in people and the ability to create good relationships. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and responsive to the students' individual prerequisites. It is required that you are calm and pedagogical with great patience and the ability to create security for each student. You need to have clarity in your actions.
