About the position

As a teacher with us, you will primarily teach mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO). There is also an opportunity to be responsible for mathematics development at Rostaskolan as part of a larger R&D project conducted throughout Örebro Municipality. The position is a temporary substitute for a teacher on parental leave, but the position may be extended.

The school's educators are divided into six work teams, where you will belong to a middle school work team. Each work team has a development leader who, together with the principals, forms the school's management group. We value collegial learning highly and have several forums that create the conditions for it. As a teacher with us, you have regular planning meetings together with other teachers, which provides opportunities for support and development. We also have two flexible groups to meet students' needs for special support.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in various subjects.
• Support students' social development and upbringing.
• Use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal achievement.
• Have knowledge of children's and young people's development and learning, and work based on current regulatory documents.
• Create a good learning environment.
• Work and document in the operational systems available.

About the workplace

Rostaskolan is located in the residential area of Rosta next to Stjärnhusen. There are good bus connections and it is approximately a 15-minute walk into central Örebro. Approximately 475 students in grades F-6 attend the school, distributed across 20 classes, including two preschool classes. There are four after-school care units at the school. About 75 staff members work with us in various roles, and we value effective cooperation and collegial learning.

At our school, we have regular planning time, both individually and jointly within the work team. In addition, we have development groups where we meet to coordinate and develop operations together. Qualifications

As a teacher, it is important that you are calm and confident, and take great responsibility for your tasks. You have good cooperation skills where you listen, communicate, and contribute to a good work environment. You have knowledge of children's development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group's and individual students' needs and conditions. Furthermore, you have the ability to communicate clearly and ensure your message gets through. As a teacher, you also contribute to a calm and safe school environment for both students and colleagues, and you can adapt to changed conditions. In addition, you have innovative thinking that contributes to improving and developing operations.

You master the Swedish language to such an extent that you can communicate with students and other staff, and that you can document in writing what the operations require.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with broad subject eligibility to teach in grades 4-6, or alternatively a degree that qualifies for teacher certification.
• Eligibility to teach mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) for grades 4-6.

Merits:

• Experience working in grades 4-6.
• Experience with Guided Interaction (ICDP).
• Experience and knowledge of working with students with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF).
