The Department of Culture and Leisure is responsible for assignments within the area of culture and leisure in Karlskoga, and offers its own operations in the form of youth clubs, swimming pools, culture school, art hall, and library. Additionally, we offer support to associations and services in areas such as: hiking and walking trails, beaches, outdoor gyms, skate parks, grass and artificial turf fields, facilities, premises, museums, and we safeguard Karlskoga's cultural heritage. We also create conditions for various experiences through holiday activities, events, and grants to civil society.

Job Description
As a music teacher at the culture school, you teach electric bass, both individually and in groups, and meet children and young people at different levels. The assignment also includes leading rock bands for young people.
You are part of the INSÅ work team (instrument and voice), where you collaborate with colleagues from several instrument areas. The work team works to strengthen cooperation, community, and subject development, and you also participate in projects together with other work teams.
An important part of the position is to participate in concerts and events arranged by the Culture School. We meet our participants mainly after school hours and work to create safe, creative, and inspiring learning environments.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as a music teacher in electric bass or have equivalent competence. You master the Swedish language at the level required by the activity and have a B driving license.
You are good at creating and maintaining good relationships with students, and you value good cooperation. With an open, accommodating, and solution-oriented approach, you actively contribute to a positive work environment. You are creative and enjoy developing teaching through new ideas, musical expressions, and inspiring working methods.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Previous work experience within a culture school
- Experience working with children's groups
- Previous work as a musician
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
