Welcome to apply for the position of Music Teacher at Gröndalsskolan. The school is a 7–9 grade school with approximately 450 students divided into three work teams. The school also has a special education group with approximately 10–12 students. At Gröndalsskolan, you will meet ambitious students with high goal achievement and have the opportunity to work together with dedicated colleagues. Music teaching takes place in a newly renovated and well-equipped music room with three adjacent group rooms for ensemble playing, among other activities. For concerts, Christmas, and summer closures, our study hall is rigged into a concert venue with a large stage and a well-equipped sound and lighting system.

Responsibilities

Teaching music in grades 7–9. The position includes shared mentorship in one of our classes. You will be part of one of our three work teams. In grade 9, teaching is conducted in half-classes. In addition to teaching, the role includes planning and facilitating student performances at school closures and Lucia celebrations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach music in later years. You should have good computer skills, and to thrive and function as a teacher with us, you should be flexible, outgoing, and have a good ability to collaborate.
