About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transport.

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service in Kalmar is expanding and currently has several ongoing projects and new establishments ahead. This includes the establishment of a Class 3 prison by 2026, a new remand prison aiming to open in 2027, and a new prison facility expected to be completed by 2030. This expansion creates significant opportunities, and several new employees across various professional categories will need to be recruited in the coming years.

Job Description

The Kalmar operational area consists of several different managerial, work, and responsibility areas. As an Executive Assistant, you will support the managers of the operational area by coordinating cross-operational processes through investigation, case handling, and follow-up. Together with the managers, you will ensure that local work is conducted in a uniform and quality-assured manner according to the agency's guidelines and other governing documents.

The role includes, among other things, working on competence supply and attraction initiatives on behalf of the Prison and Probation Inspector. You will be involved in the work regarding our upcoming establishments and work on competence supply within the operational area. The work will involve networking and collaborating with the business community, the municipality, and other external parties. As an Executive Assistant, you will work broadly and deeply with the management's steering and follow-up processes; the work may therefore cover several areas such as HR, organization, and operational content.

The Executive Assistant role is part of a newly established small team providing managerial and administrative support to the entire leadership group within the Kalmar operational area. The work is carried out both individually and in collaboration with colleagues, managers, and other support functions. Together, we will report, develop, and quality-assure the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's operations in Kalmar. The agency's core values are the fundamental strength in all our work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• An academic degree in a subject area relevant to the position, or alternatively, other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Experience working with attraction initiatives.
• Knowledge and experience in driving, leading, and maintaining processes with multiple stakeholders.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience working with competence supply.
• Experience with follow-up of operations or projects.
• An academic education in personnel/HR or another direction relevant to the position.
• Experience with operational development.
