Björknäs group home offers housing for six individuals falling under person group 1. The facility consists of six modern apartments, all featuring an open and spacious layout. Our staff has extensive experience and broad competence within the autism spectrum, and we work with clarifying pedagogy as a foundation to create a safe and adapted environment for each individual.
About the Role of Support AssistantAs a support assistant, you will work on providing individually adapted support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, starting from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for the residents to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.
Qualifications- Very good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
- Experience working within care and social services.
- Secondary education such as Child and Youth Program, Care and Health Program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
- Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling.
- Experience working with complex support needs.
Employment Type: Hourly position. Hours of Work: As needed. Working Hours: Rolling schedule covering daytime, evenings, and weekends. Start Date: According to agreement; we view it positively if you can start soon. Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement of Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
