Surgical Department 14 is a specialized department with 12 care beds where we work in interdisciplinary teams within upper GI, endocrine, and sarcoma care. Our work is characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and an open and supportive work climate. We provide highly specialized care for patients from all over southern Sweden and work according to modern care methods to create the best possible recovery for our patients.

Job Responsibilities

Here, as a nursing assistant, you will become an important part of the patient's journey from pre-operative preparations to safe recovery afterwards. The work is varied, developmental, and at times intensive, making every day different. Here you have the opportunity to work closely with patients and make a real difference every day.
You will work with both pre-operative and post-operative care. Your tasks include, among other things, venipuncture, wound dressing changes, administration of tube feeding, and NEWS checks. A large part of the work also involves nursing care, mobilization, and supporting patients in their self-care to create the best possible recovery.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. Experience in surgery is an advantage.

Employment type: Permanent position.

If you were employed as a nursing assistant on a permanent basis on July 1, 2023, and lack proof, attach your employment certificate as well as your grades (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education. If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a nursing assistant on a fixed-term basis while waiting for the proof.
