The Cardiac Ward belongs to the emergency and medicine operations area. Here, we work based on person-centered care (PCC), always starting from the patient's need for care, support, and information. Different professions complement each other with their unique competencies, and together with high engagement, we create quality and a sense of team spirit. We have a well-developed introduction program with training days and opportunities for personal development. Currently, we work on a schedule involving 2 out of 5 weekends. We have introduced MultiAccess, giving you as an employee greater influence over your scheduling. We are also starting work with the Competence and Service Model (KTM), which we will work according to. This provides you as an employee with a clear career ladder and plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as a nurse, you are responsible for basic and specific nursing care. You work close to the patient and are responsible for patients where medical treatment and associated examinations take place in close collaboration with several professional categories such as assistant nurses, doctors, rehabilitation teams, coordinators, and contact persons for the municipality/primary care.
The ward is equipped with monitoring systems for continuous registration of arrhythmia and ischemia. In your work, you will deepen your knowledge of the heart and lungs' circulation and how it affects the patients. We care for patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmia, as well as patients with lung disease who may need NIV and Optiflow. The ward also treats patients needing continuous blood pressure monitoring (arterial blood pressure measurement) and those requiring vasopressor/inotropic treatment. The care we provide is protocol-driven, allowing us to initiate treatments independently directly after contact with a doctor.
We are currently starting to open a follow-up clinic for our heart patients who have recently been discharged from inpatient care. Most of the patients coming here will be followed up by a nurse who performs pre-determined orders and/or treatments. The work at the follow-up clinic is independent, but you always have a cardiologist to consult if needed.
In Trelleborg, you have good opportunities to develop based on your own competence. It is also expected that you, as a nurse, participate in our scheduled training days for ongoing competence development of the group.
It is important to us that you, as an employee, feel security and stability while simultaneously receiving stimulation and development at your workplace. As a nurse with us, you will be assigned a mentor and will have regular reflection time together with mentors and other new colleagues within our operations area.
The position is a permanent employment with day and evening work, but there may also be opportunities for some night shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement.
We are looking for you who want to drive the unit forward together with the team leader, colleagues, and your nearest manager. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and have the ability to handle and prioritize when the pace is high. As a person, we want you to take responsibility and make independent decisions based on science and proven experience. We also value that you are engaged, interested in learning, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. You are engaged with the patient, flexible in your working method, and possess good communication skills. We want you to see opportunities instead of obstacles and be an ambassador for development and improvement. Personal suitability is given great weight.
We apply continuous selection in the recruitment process, so we warmly welcome your application!
