Speech Therapist at Specialized Surgery, Skåne University Hospital

The Speech Therapy Clinic is part of the Specialized Surgery department at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö and Lund, where we are part of the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) department. The clinic is located in bright and fresh premises in Västra Hamnen, Malmö.

At the clinic, 30 speech therapists and three medical secretaries work together. The speech therapy group offers both depth and breadth; some speech therapists have many years of experience while others are at the beginning of their careers. People of all ages come to us for support with speech, language, voice, fluency, reading, writing, arithmetic, as well as eating and swallowing abilities.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities include speech therapy interventions for preschool children with language difficulties, within the framework of the "Vårdval Logopedi" (Healthcare Choice Speech Therapy) program. The majority of the work is conducted individually, but we also offer parent training for interventions that suit this format.

As a new employee, you will receive an introduction and a mentor within the relevant diagnostic area. Special forums are available for diagnosis-specific questions and case discussions. You are expected to stay updated on current evidence and participate in our quality and development work.

We host a large number of speech therapy students for practice-based education and consider it natural that everyone helps prepare our future colleagues.

Qualifications

We welcome you if you are a licensed speech therapist with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required.

We are looking for someone who is engaged and confident in their professional role. You are passionate about early language development and development-related speech disorders! Working in "Vårdval Logopedi" has proven to be a changing world, which places high demands on flexibility.

You take personal responsibility and have the ability to prioritize among your tasks. You have a good ability to build and maintain healthy relationships with colleagues, patients, and partners.
