Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home help services, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

Do you want to make a difference this summer? We are looking for you who want to work night shifts in elderly care.

With us, you will have meaningful work where you contribute to the well-being of other people while having fun with colleagues and gaining invaluable experience.

As part of our teams, you work closely with people and support them in their daily lives.

Tasks may include, for example:

  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Support during meals, cleaning, and other daily chores
  • Social interaction and safe treatment
  • Accompanying to medical visits, activities, or appointments
  • Working based on 'help to self-help' to strengthen independence
  • Medication management after approved delegation

During night shifts, you may work alone, fully or partially, at one or several workplaces. We offer awake and overnight shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a warm approach and a genuine desire to help others. Experience or education is meritorious, but your attitude and commitment are most important to us.

We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.

Requirements

  • Work in special housing and LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) may involve working alone, threatening and violent situations, heavy lifting, and medication management. According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on the working environment for minors (AFS 2012:3), Section 6 and Section 8, such work is not permitted for minors. Therefore, the person employed must have turned 18 by June 30th at the latest.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • You can handle physical work with a lot of movement where heavy lifting may occur
  • You work according to basic hygiene routines and in a short-sleeved shirt
  • You can work with both men and women

Merits

  • Education in nursing or pedagogy (attach relevant grades/certificates when applying)
  • Experience of similar work within elderly care or LSS
  • Category B driver's license
