Waxö Omsorg is a small care company offering support, service, and nursing care to adults with cognitive and neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as individuals with acquired brain injuries.

The needs, wishes, and integrity of each individual are guiding principles for all activities at Waxö Omsorg.

A key starting point is that the care recipient should be offered the support they need to live as independent and fulfilling a life as possible.

We strive for the care recipients we are responsible for to achieve a high degree of independence, feel significant, and participate in society on the same terms as other residents in the municipality.

Waxö Omsorg has collective agreements with parties according to the Care and Social Services Agreement and the Swedish Municipal Workers' Union (Kommunal).

About the Workplace

Storgatan Group Home is an LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residence for individuals with extensive support needs. Six care recipients live here, who have been approved for support under LSS Section 9, Paragraph 9, and receive support in their daily lives at home and during leisure time. How the support is provided is described in each care recipient's implementation plan and is based on their wishes and needs.

Temporary Care Worker – Make a Difference in People's Daily Lives!

Are you an engaged and responsible person who wants to make a positive difference in people's lives? We are now looking for a temporary care worker for our operations. Here, you will have the opportunity to support individuals in their daily lives and contribute to their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities:

As a temporary care worker with us, you will:

• Support care recipients in their daily lives based on individual implementation plans.
• Motivate and assist the individual in a pedagogical manner to achieve set goals.
• Create a secure and meaningful existence for those we support.
• Work both independently and in a team when interacting with care recipients.
• Participate in leisure activities, outings, and other social contexts, providing support during these events.
• Collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professional actors to ensure the best possible support for care recipients.
• Follow the company's routines and guidelines according to current legislation.
• Prepare shared meals and follow guidelines from the Health and Environmental Administration.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong empathetic skills and can meet each individual based on their specific needs. Working with people with cognitive disabilities requires great patience, consideration, and understanding.
• Is curious and adaptable. Since every individual is unique, you need to be sensitive and flexible in every meeting with care recipients. You must be able to adapt your approach based on their ability to receive and convey information.
• Can work independently when interacting with care recipients, both in their homes and when accompanying them to medical appointments or leisure activities.
• Treats everyone professionally and has good ability to collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professional actors to create a positive work climate and ensure the best possible support.
• Has a solution-focused attitude and the ability to handle challenges in a constructive way.
• Can understand, speak, read, and write Swedish, as the job requires daily documentation and contact with colleagues at the residence, day activities, habilitation, HSL team, and guardians.
