About Us
Sociala Insatser i Sverige AB is a quality-certified provider within foster care and strengthened interventions for children, young people, and adults. We work evidence-based, structured, and in close collaboration with our clients within social services. At our company, you will meet an engaged team where supervision, development, and legal security are central parts of daily life. We have our own investigated foster homes, a structured quality management system, and digital working methods that give you time for what matters most – the meeting with people.
About the Role
As a Foster Care Consultant/Coordinator, you are responsible for matching, support, supervision, and follow-up of our foster homes and placements. You are the hub in the network between the foster home, the placed individual, social services, and other actors involved in the assignment.
The role includes, among other things:
- Recruiting, investigating, and introducing new foster homes
- Matching clients with foster homes based on needs, issues, and prerequisites
- Providing ongoing supervision to foster homes, individually and in groups
- Conducting follow-ups, home visits, and conversations with placed children/young people/adults
- Creating implementation plans, monthly reports, and participating in network meetings
- Handling urgent situations and ensuring protection and stability in the placement
- Collaborating with social services, schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), healthcare, and other actors
- Contributing to the organization's quality and development work
We also offer strengthened interventions with closer follow-up, treatment-oriented support, and additional services. You will become part of a team that works both broadly and in a specialized manner.
We are looking for someone who has
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent higher education in social work/behavioral sciences (minimum 180 ECTS)
- Experience working with foster care, social services, residential care (HVB), or similar
- Good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), BBIC, and the mission of social services
- Ability to work independently, structured, and solution-focused, but also in a team
- Valid driver's license (Category B) (required)
- Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
Meritorious qualifications:
- Education in working methods and investigation methods, BBIC, BRA-fam, MI, Trappan, or trauma-informed care, etc.
- Experience supervising foster homes
- Experience with strengthened interventions and complex issues (e.g., ADHD/ASD, substance abuse, crime, honor-related issues)
Personal qualities
You are secure, unpretentious, and have a genuine commitment to the target group. You have integrity, are clear in your communication, and build trust-based relationships with both foster homes, clients, and clients. You thrive with independent responsibility while being a team player.
We offer
- Market-competitive salary
- Health allowance
- Continuous external supervision and competence development
- Flexibility and trust-based working hours
- Modern digital operational support that simplifies documentation and follow-up
- A competent, warm, and engaged team
- Development opportunities
