HVB-Institutet i Roslagen AB is a company with extensive experience in social work and currently holds a license to operate a residential care home (HVB) for young people, as well as consultant-supported emergency and foster care services. We possess formal education and competence, relevant experience, and above all, a strong work ethic with a focus on the individual needs of our young people.

We are currently looking for staff to work on an extra basis with varying hours. Milton HVB is located in Norrtälje. Milton is a small, family-like residential care home with 5 places. The target group consists of young people aged 14–18 who have been in risk environments, committed crimes, experimented with drugs, and/or exhibit threatening behavior. We accept placements according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU).

We work based on the KOBTIVA method – Cognitive and Behavioral Training in Everyday Life – an evidence-based treatment method for young people with social problems. Our goal is to offer a secure, structured, and predictable operation. We train our young people to create and maintain functional behaviors that are sustainable over time.

To qualify for a position with us, a minimum of two years of post-secondary education in the field of social work is required. This means you are educated as a treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, or social pedagogue. It is also acceptable if you are educated as a behavioral scientist or a social worker. We also require that you have experience with this target group. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as knowledge of Neuropsychiatric Disabilities (NPD) and mental health issues in children and young people. Furthermore, experience working with extensive behavioral problems is meritorious.

We are looking for you who are an engaged and proactive person with the ability to work in a structured and systematic manner in everyday life. As a person, you are warm and empathetic, communicative, and attentive. You are curious and take responsibility for yourself as well as for our young people, and you strive to be a clear and good role model. Furthermore, you need to be patient, self-assured, and able to handle conflicts in a constructive way while maintaining calm in stressful situations. You understand the importance of having a shared view on our daily treatment work. You have a good ability to set clear boundaries and are simultaneously flexible in a dynamic environment. You have a very good ability to create professional and secure relationships where you can also stand firm in potential conflicts.

At Milton HVB, we emphasize the importance of a flat hierarchy in the workplace where we encourage participation and spreading joy at work. Here, we are driven by development and constantly work to improve the quality of our operations. To thrive with us, you need to have a genuine interest in contributing to the development of the operation towards common goals in line with our working method.

As extra staff, you will be involved in the daily treatment work with the young people. As extra staff, you are offered shifts scheduled during daytime, afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends. In some periods, you may also be offered shifts with wakeful nights.

You must be able to follow both oral and written instructions in accordance with our working method and with ongoing support from your direct supervisor. The method requires that you can express yourself well in speech and writing, as well as have good computer skills, as documentation is an important tool in the work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and a requirement is that you have experience in treatment work at an HVB for young people.

Before employment, you are required to provide extracts from the crime register and the record of suspicions. We also wish to contact references from previous employers.

Note that this position requires you to have a B-driver's license for manual vehicles.

We ask you to respect our requirement for a 2-year post-secondary education in social work, as we do not waive this requirement in our operations.

In connection with the recruitment process, we have taken a stance on recruitment channels and marketing. Therefore, we decline all offers of advertising and recruitment assistance in connection with this advertisement.

We look forward to receiving your application!
