Junior Data Scientist – Data, AI & Machine Learning

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist who wants to help develop data-driven solutions that create concrete business value. You will work with the entire data science process – from understanding business needs and analyzing data to developing, evaluating, and implementing models.

The work includes both traditional data analysis and machine learning as well as modern AI solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with large datasets, identify patterns, create insights, and contribute to the development of future data-driven services.

You will collaborate closely with the business, analysts, developers, and other stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you thrive in a communicative role where technology meets business.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
• Develop and evaluate statistical models and machine learning solutions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of data science solutions in cloud environments.
• Visualize data and present insights to the business.
• Work with Python-based analysis and model development.
• Contribute to the development of AI and analysis-related working methods.
• Collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must meet all the following requirements:

Education

• Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or equivalent education with a focus on Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI.

Experience

• At least 2 years of work experience as a Data Scientist.
• At least 2 years of experience in Python development.
• At least 2 years of experience developing data science or analytics solutions on cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure.
• At least 1 year of experience implementing machine learning methods to solve practical business problems.
• Experience with Power BI from at least two assignments or projects.

Languages

• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

It is an extra plus if you also have experience with:

• Generative AI and the application of LLM-based solutions in business contexts.
• Microsoft Fabric.
• Working closely with the business and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Data visualization and data storytelling.
• MLOps, CI/CD, and model management.
• Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, or similar platforms.

Location Placement at our client's office in Stockholm with the possibility of hybrid remote work or on-site at our office near Slussen. We prefer that you are living somewhere around Stockholm, Uppsala, or just north of there.
