Columbus continues to develop its AI & Automation capabilities and is now looking for a Senior Applied AI Solution Architect who wants to help design the next generation of AI solutions for enterprise environments.

In this role, you work at the intersection of business, architecture, and implementation. You translate business needs and use cases into robust, secure, and integrated AI solutions with a clear connection to business processes, business systems, and customer value.

This is a role for you if you want to combine technical depth with real-world business relevance.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Applied AI Solution Architect, you design sustainable and business-centric AI solutions based on business needs, use cases, and the customer's environment. You are involved early in initiatives and translate ideas into clear solution architecture and implementable design.

You define architectural patterns for modern AI applications, such as LLM-based applications, RAG solutions, agentic setups, and AI-assisted workflows, as well as design integration patterns towards business systems, APIs, external services, and operational data. In your work, you ensure the appropriate level of security, identity, governance, and observability.

The role involves close collaboration with colleagues within Data, AI & Automation, and ERP. You also contribute to the development of common working methods, technical principles, and quality levels within Columbus's AI & Automation offering.

Requirements

We believe you have:

• Documented experience in designing and implementing LLM-based AI solutions in enterprise environments, from early design to production.
• Experience with modern AI architectural patterns, such as RAG solutions and agentic setups, including context engineering, prompt design, orchestration, and quality assurance.
• Good experience in integrating AI solutions via APIs, connectors, skills, MCP, or similar patterns towards business systems and operational data.
• Good understanding of security, identity, access control, governance, and responsible AI, as well as how this is translated into practical solution design in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft/Azure).

Please Note - This position is located in Sweden and requires a valid working visa and fluency in Swedish and English.
