Blå Assistans is a nationwide non-profit association. The association's members form a cooperative that provides personal assistance in accordance with the intentions of the LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and under current labor laws.

Blå Assistans offers continuous training in personal assistance, first aid, fire safety, workplace environment, and ergonomics.

All employees are offered subsidized wellness programs.

I am a 66-year-old woman living in Kristianstad, and I am a member of Blå Assistans because I want self-selected and self-directed assistance. Blå Assistans acts as the employer for my assistants, while I personally choose who they hire. I schedule my assistance and determine the content of the assistants' work. Every month, I receive a report on how my assistance allowance has been used. My provider strives to ensure that both members, assistants, and administrative staff possess the competence required for their tasks.

You who are applying are welcome to be a woman over 40 years old. You are encouraged to have an interest in cooking, gardening, nature walks, and outings such as concerts and theater. You should be social and outgoing.

You must not have a fur allergy, as I live with a dog.
