About the Workplace

Myran Preschool has four departments with 18 children in groups aged 1–5 years. The preschool is nicely situated in a quiet residential area where the playground is spacious with good play areas and the forest is just beyond the fence.

Job Responsibilities

The role of a preschool assistant involves working together with the team to create a safe and developmental environment for the children on the preschool's department. The curriculum's guidelines describe the responsibility you have within the team regarding the development, follow-up, and evaluation of the activities and education.

As a preschool assistant, you are part of a work team and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the education offered to the children. In collaboration with the team, the children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation in their social development.

Qualifications

Experience from working in a preschool, a preschool assistant education, or other experience that the employer considers suitable. You must have proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is highly valued.

In accordance with the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an asset when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

A current extract from the police record of criminal convictions is mandatory and can be requested from Polisen.se.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, fixed-term employment for the autumn term of the 2026 school year.
