In connection with the introduction of the activity requirement in the summer of 2026, Piteå Municipality is seeking an Activity Case Worker. The role serves a socially important purpose: to map the individual's capacity for activity with the aim of breaking the need for financial assistance and helping the individual achieve self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include assessing the individual's abilities through thorough mapping. You will document the individual's prerequisites and needs for activities, create individual plans, and conduct continuous follow-ups on these plans.

The duties also include providing support to the individual as well as to activity supervisors. You will collaborate closely with coordinators for the activity requirement.

You will be part of a team together with coordinators and social secretaries within the "Support for Livelihood" department. The goal is for the individual to transition from benefits to work, studies, or other forms of compensation.

As the legislation is new, the responsibilities may evolve during the process.

Qualifications

You are educated as a Social Worker (Socialsekreterare) or Behavioral Scientist.

You have a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals, as well as an understanding of their different prerequisites. You have experience in collaborating and working in teams, are flexible, and have the ability to see the big picture from each individual's perspective.

You must be able to work independently and structurally, with strong documentation skills.

You are experienced in working with follow-ups and statistics. You work evidence-based and document according to the new Social Services Act.

A valid B-class driver's license is required.

About the position

The position is a project employment lasting from 2026-09-01 to 2028-12-31, full-time.

Start date can be arranged by agreement.
