Your workplace

In August 2025, Härryda Municipality launched a resource school for students with autism and/or speech disorders. Mosslyckeskolan is a school that offers education in a small-scale setting. The students come from all over the municipality, and for the academic year 2026/2027, we will have 25 students in grades 4-9. The premises have great potential, are newly renovated, and are nicely located in Landvetter, right next to Önnerödsskolan. The schoolyard has been restored and is divided into two areas: one area that invites play and activity, and a part where students can sit, play games, or socialize. The school consists of a large building with several entrances and different rooms that will be adapted to the needs of our operations. We aim for high competence and ensure that all professions the school needs are available. We have sports facilities at Pinntorpshallen, a modern arena located in the immediate vicinity. We will build up the school and many parts of the organization together. You will have access to regular supervision from a speech therapist, psychologist, and special needs pedagogue. Your assignment

As a craft and subject teacher with us, you will become an important part of the students' daily lives. Every morning, you meet the students during a common check-in, which gives you good conditions to create safe, motivating, and individually adapted teaching.

You plan, implement, and develop craft education based on the goals of the curriculum. Through creative and practical learning processes, you inspire students to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence in their own abilities. The position also includes assessment and grading.

You work with visual supports, clear pedagogy, and adapted learning environments to give students the best possible conditions to communicate, develop, and demonstrate their knowledge.

In this role, you plan, implement, and evaluate teaching together with colleagues. You are responsible for leading teaching in your subjects, both in class, in small groups, and individually when necessary. Teaching is always based on current regulatory documents and course plans. Your planning should also function as clear instructions for any student assistants, which requires good teaching skills and the ability to collaborate with other adults.

Collaboration around the students is a central part of the operations. Therefore, you are expected to participate actively in team meetings, competence development, and other meeting forums. As support in your work, you have close access to a special needs pedagogue, special education teacher, and speech therapist, as well as ongoing supervision in your role.

An important part of the assignment is also to have a good dialogue with guardians and external actors to ensure the students' development and well-being.

Requirements for the position

We are looking for you who are a certified primary/lower secondary school teacher with subject competence for grades 4–9 in craft/other subjects. You have several years of experience with this target group, where you have achieved positive results through your approach and knowledge.

You have a strong commitment and experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (autism, ADHD, and speech disorders). You work in a low-affective and flexible manner, using clear pedagogy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), visual supports, as well as digital and compensatory tools as natural elements in teaching.

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police's criminal record register must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also become relevant depending on the position.
