About the Department

The Education Department is responsible for preschool, pedagogical care, after-school centers, preschool class, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, Komvux (special education for adults), Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), youth clubs, open preschool, and music school.

Preschool and after-school activities are available at all seven F-6 schools, with geographical distribution throughout the municipality.

Altorpskolan, the municipality's only 7-9 school, receives students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Kunskapskällan, the municipality's upper secondary school, is also located in Herrljunga town.

About Horsbyskolan

At Horsbyskolan F-3, you will meet a dedicated staff group and a work environment where collaboration, participation, and development are in focus. Job Responsibilities

In the role of a special education teacher focusing on language, writing, and reading development, you teach students individually and in small groups based on their individual needs. The work includes a promoting, preventive, and remedial perspective. You conduct pedagogical assessments and investigations, as well as follow up on students' knowledge development and implemented support measures.

Furthermore, you participate in the work with action programs and follow-ups, and serve as a support for teachers and work teams in the work with extra adaptations and special support. You actively contribute to the development of the school's inclusive learning environments and participate in the student health team together with the principal and other professionals.

Through your work, you are an important part of identifying students' needs and creating good conditions for learning, while also contributing to the school's continued development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified special education teacher focusing on language, writing, and reading development, or who are currently undergoing education, and who have the eligibility to teach in the earlier years of comprehensive school. You have a strong commitment to students' learning and development and a good ability to build trusting relationships with both students and colleagues and guardians.

You are receptive and clear in your communication, confident in your professional role, and have good collaboration skills where you see the work team as an important resource. Furthermore, you are solution-focused and have an inclusive approach in your work.

You have good analytical and pedagogical skills and can adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites and needs. You have high expectations for the students and a strong belief that everyone can achieve good results with the right support. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
