Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and following up on teaching. As a teacher of Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) & Social Studies (SO) with us, you plan and conduct teaching that sparks a desire to learn. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites. You collaborate closely with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development. You are also responsible for analyzing teaching and its results. The job includes contact with guardians, participation in meetings with colleagues, and working according to the curricula from the Swedish National Agency for Education. It is important to be able to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel included and receive support to develop.
In Swedish as a Second Language, you plan and conduct teaching that helps students develop their Swedish language skills through reading, writing, conversation, and language exercises. The teaching is adapted to students' different language levels and needs to create security and motivation in learning.
In addition to teaching, the role involves planning lessons, assessing students' knowledge, documenting their development, and providing feedback.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified teacher with eligibility in Swedish as a Second Language. It is highly beneficial to also be eligible in several other subjects such as Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), Mathematics, and Swedish as a Second Language. A plus is if you have experience working from a special pedagogical approach.
You are a confident and clear leader in the classroom and have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and analyze students' learning as well as your teaching structure in an effective way that leads to desired results.
