Marks Gymnasium is located in modern facilities between Skene and Kinna in Marks Municipality. The school, with approximately 1,000 students, offers a wide range of university-preparatory and vocational programs, as well as several sports programs. It also includes an adapted upper secondary school.
The school is located in the "House of Knowledge" (Kunskapens hus), which also houses a music and arts school and adult education.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will teach mathematics and English and will be part of the work team for the Introduction Program, although courses in other upper secondary programs may also become relevant.
As a teacher at Marks Gymnasium, you will be part of a positive and development-oriented work team, as well as a subject-specific team. The role is characterized by collaboration, flexibility, and a drive to develop education. You will work in a future-oriented organization with the goal of creating opportunities for the best possible achievement of goals through security, study environment, motivation, and a school with opportunities and community.
Responsibilities include planning, documenting, and conducting courses/education in accordance with the guidelines for upper secondary schools. Mentorship is included in the duties.
The school uses the digital learning platform It’s Learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching certification with a focus on upper secondary level.
- We are looking for you with a subject teacher degree in mathematics and English, preferably with mathematics as the main subject.
- You have good collaboration skills for working in teams, with students, and with school management. You work comfortably in a modern digital learning environment and with the necessary digital tools. You are confident in your subjects and adapt your teaching and methods to the students' needs. In the classroom, communicative leadership is important, and you work purposefully to ensure students feel involved and included. We see you as a good relationship builder and consider this a fundamental prerequisite for learning.
- You have documented experience working with students in complex learning situations and are accustomed to collaborating with guardians and external agencies for the best possible learning situation for the student. Special educational needs competence is an advantage.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
