Job Description
As a project assistant, you will work closely with Jörgen Larsson and Martin Persson in research projects focusing on climate policy instruments within areas such as road traffic and agriculture/food. The instruments studied can, for example, be taxes, subsidies, and regulations, and they are analyzed based on criteria such as potential for reducing emissions, cost-effectiveness, acceptance and fairness, compliance with EU regulations, and political feasibility. The work concerns instruments at both the national and EU levels, and includes the question of how different actors in society view different policy alternatives. Your main tasks include:
- Knowledge Syntheses: Search for and analyze published texts – scientific articles, reports, and other relevant documents – to compile the state of knowledge on different climate policy instruments in text form.
- AI-based Knowledge Tools: Contribute to making compiled knowledge accessible to others, including via AI-based tools and platforms.
- Expert Interviews: Conduct interviews with experts and stakeholders in relevant policy areas to some extent.
- Conferences and Events: Contribute to the planning and execution of smaller conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Scientific Analysis Work: Support qualitative and quantitative analysis work within ongoing research projects.
- Other Tasks: Various administrative and practical tasks related to the research environment.
We are looking for you who
- Have at least a three-year academic education with an environmental focus (Bachelor's degree or equivalent).
- Have good knowledge of Swedish – a significant part of the work is based on the analysis of documents in Swedish.
- Have good ability to analyze, structure, and write text at an academic or policy-relevant level.
Merits
- Master's degree with an environmental focus.
- Social science environmental competence, especially political science and/or environmental economics focus.
- Experience or education in quantitative analysis methods.
