The Education Administration in the City of Mölndal is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, study and career guidance, municipal university college, and the municipal activity responsibility. Our vision is to be a leading educational provider with an attractive, high-quality offering. This means developing a modern and competitive upper secondary and adult segment, as well as a university college, in close collaboration with local and regional working life. One of our most important tasks is also to create opportunities for young adults to establish themselves in the labor market.

Frejagymnasiet is the City of Mölndal's adapted upper secondary school. We are a small school with just over 50 students and approximately the same number of employees. We offer the Individual Programme as well as national programmes with a focus on hotel, restaurant, and bakery, as well as trade and service.

We are now looking for an activating pedagogue who will work with young people on the Individual Programmes at Frejagymnasiet.

The position is permanent and a holding position at 85%. 1 position.

Job Responsibilities

You will work with young people on the Individual Programme in small teaching groups. You will be part of a work group with activating pedagogues, where collaboration and joint development work are an important part of the assignment. The school works actively based on goals in our systematic quality work.

The responsibilities involve assisting students in teaching and during breaks and other parts of the school day, under the direction of teachers and/or independently.

You meet each student based on their prerequisites and have the ability to start from the student's individual situation to support the development of both social and knowledge-based skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education with a pedagogical focus, for example as an activating pedagogue or another equivalent education. We would like you to have experience working in an adapted upper secondary school. It is particularly meritorious if you have experience working with students studying subject areas.

You are expected to contribute with in-depth competence regarding the needs of the adapted upper secondary school, for example regarding methods and approaches for different functional impairments in combination with intellectual disability.

You have knowledge of Sign Support (TAKK), alternative communication methods, and preferably sign language. You also have knowledge about autism and care.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as communication and documentation are an important part of daily work.

You have the ability to support the teacher in adapting and making teaching accessible, for example by developing structures and learning environments. You also have the ability to provide guidance in methods and approaches based on the needs of the students and the operation.

You are familiar with the school's steering documents and have the ability to apply them in daily work.

You take responsibility for both your own and the joint tasks and use a low-affective approach with the student's best interest in focus. You are positive, receptive, and structured, and have a pedagogical approach in your interactions. You find it easy to collaborate and create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
