The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the Primary School Committee. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a secure educational environment. About Vårby RO

Vårby RO consists of three schools; Grindstuskolan F-3, Vårbackaskolan F-3, and Vårbyskolan 4-9. The schools have one principal and three assistant principals, and cooperation between the units takes place at all levels. Vårby schools are located in Vårby Gård, a green and beautiful area along the red metro line. Approximately 550 students attend the Vårby schools. The position will be at Vårbyskolan, where we currently have approximately 240 students.

Responsibilities

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Mathematics/Science and Technology for primary school grades 7-9 and have experience teaching as a teacher. For us, traits such as secure leadership in the classroom, clarity, and relationship competence are important. You must be well-versed in the curriculum and course plans and have experience planning a term together with others, making assessments, and setting grades. You should find it easy to work in a team but also independently. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and developing students' abilities, as well as preparing them for life and the future. You have good leadership skills, pedagogical insight, and see collaboration with colleagues as a given. You are structured, flexible, and self-initiating. You are familiar with the school's governing documents and have the ability to individualize and differentiate instruction based on the student's and group's prerequisites.

Qualifications

Certified teacher and educated in mathematics, science, and technology for primary school, grades 7-9. You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward, and find it easy to build new relationships with students, your colleagues, and in other contexts. You are team-oriented and adapt through a status-free focus on the common goal. You see more solutions than problems and want to find solutions to emerging problems.

It is meritorious if you have previously worked in multicultural areas, and/or have experience from smaller teaching groups. Since most of our students have a mother tongue other than Swedish, a language-developing approach is a prerequisite, both for teaching and the special pedagogical work at the school, as well as the willingness and ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect.

Since language is a key to achieving good cooperation and being able to reach understanding, you possess very good linguistic skills in both speech and writing.
