Resource Staff for Student with Diabetes – Skärsätra School, Lidingö

Approximately 375 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend Skärsätra School. At our school, the school, preschool class, and after-school center work together to provide students with a safe school day. The school is located less than 30 minutes from T-centralen (the central transport hub) and is surrounded by several green areas such as Kottlasjön and Kappsta Nature Reserve, which offer opportunities for outdoor activities and laboratory-based teaching methods.

Responsibilities

As a resource staff member, you are responsible for supporting a student with diabetes by assisting with self-care and continuously monitoring the student's values via an app. The assignment involves being available throughout the entire school and after-school day and providing continuous support in the student's diabetes management.

The role also includes collaborating with teachers and social pedagogues in the grade, as well as other staff members at the school. The position involves working very closely with a specific student and maintaining a constant focus on ensuring the student's support needs related to diabetes.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a upper secondary medical education. Experience working with Type 1 diabetes and in a school environment is meritorious. You are responsible and proactive, with a good ability to handle stressful situations and unexpected events in an environment with many people.

Employment Terms and Conditions

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer (fixed-term employment during the 2026/27 academic year).
Salary: Individual salary setting applies.
