At Balder, we are in the midst of an exciting digital transformation journey where data and insights are becoming increasingly important for how we develop and manage our properties. We are now looking for an Insights Lead who wants to be the hub of this work – someone who is passionate about turning data into concrete insights that lead to action.
About the role
Balder is one of the leading property companies in the Nordics. We develop, own, and manage properties with a long-term perspective – and with people in focus. Here, entrepreneurial spirit and responsibility are combined with stability and growth.
Over the past few years, we have made a clear commitment to becoming a data-driven and insight-led organization, using data to understand our customers, our business, and our properties in depth. Now we are taking the next step – turning these insights into even more concrete actions and business value by strengthening our proactive analysis and insight capabilities.
We are now looking for an Insights Lead where you lead the work on how we approach analysis – from skills and tools to delivery and application. The role is crucial for ensuring more proactive decision-making and for realizing the full potential of data within the company in the future. You combine analytical skills, business understanding, and curiosity to find patterns and opportunities – and translate them into recommendations that make a difference in everyday life. Your work will provide a faster path to insight and action, while building our future analytical capacity, not just in technology but also in working methods.
Why Balder? With us, you get:
- Work closely with both the business and the data team in an environment with short decision-making paths.
- Great personal responsibility and freedom to influence how analysis and insights are used.
- A role where your curiosity and your ability to create value with data make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the development of analytical capabilities in the organization – including the selection of tools, methods, structures, and collaborations.
- Independently conduct analyses that lead to insight and action, both on your own initiative and upon request from the business.
- Act as a data-driven advisor to various parts of the business – based on specific questions but also by identifying patterns and connections in the data yourself.
- Help shape how we work with proactive and prescriptive analysis, showing what we should do.
- Act as a requirement setter for the data platform team, ensuring that the right data is available, relevant, structured, and useful for analysis.
- Explore and introduce new working methods, methods, and technologies for more predictive and prescriptive analysis – for example, in interaction with AI.
We are looking for you who
Have strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding the business behind the numbers. You thrive in the borderland between data and business – where your analyses have an impact. To qualify for the role, you also have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a role such as Data Scientist or similar.
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from a university or college in a relevant technical field.
- Experience in independently conducting analyses that lead to business value.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and engagingly – visually, verbally, and in writing.
- Experience working with data and analysis tools, as well as specifying data supply requirements.
- Good understanding of how AI and modern analysis methods can contribute to better decision-making.
- Experience working closely with the business – preferably within real estate, energy, finance, and/or customer data.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities
- Exploratory and curious – you see connections where others see fragments.
- Proactive and self-driven – you take initiative and do not let go until the question is answered.
- Communicative and pedagogical – you can adapt your communication to the recipient's needs.
- Analytical and structured – you refine data sets into insights that can be acted upon.
- Strategic in thought, operational in execution – you enjoy both leading and doing.
Our recruitment process
This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and it is Balder's wish that all questions regarding the role are sent to Academic Work.
We apply rolling selection and will remove the advertisement when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role, as well as to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
NOTE! As a final candidate, you will need to undergo a background check with a satisfactory result before employment takes effect.
