Your responsibilities
As a 2nd Line Technician, you work with more technically advanced support cases and serve as a crucial link between first line and specialist functions. You are responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and problems that require deeper technical competence.
In the role, you will among other things:
- Troubleshoot and resolve more complex IT incidents within client, application, and infrastructure
- Handle escalated cases from first line via case management systems
- Work with account management and administration in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of client environments and applications
- Analyze logs, identify root causes, and contribute to long-term solutions
- Collaborate with other technical teams and escalate cases to 3rd line or specialist functions if needed
- Document solutions and contribute to the improvement of routines and knowledge bases
- Work proactively with monitoring and stability in the customer's IT environment
Your profile
We are looking for you who have a genuine technical interest and thrive working analytically in complex IT environments. You are solution-oriented, structured in your troubleshooting, and have an easy time collaborating with both colleagues and users.
To succeed in the role, we would like you to have experience in several of the following areas:
- Experience working in IT support or service desk, preferably in a 2nd line role
- Active Directory (account management, groups, permissions)
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Installation and troubleshooting in Windows client environments
- Experience with case management systems
- Work with remote control tools
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
