Is your next challenge a combination of advanced technology and societal benefit? Would you like to develop innovative solutions that contribute to safety and security in our society? We are currently looking for you who are passionate about programming, but who also understand that a truly great software product is ensured through a stable, efficient, and well-developed toolchain.

At Infotiv, we are currently looking for a Software Engineer with a focus on Developer Experience (DevEx) for a long-term assignment with our client in Gothenburg. As an employee of ours, you will become part of a borderless and open community where we support and help each other in everyday life. Our philosophy is summarized in the keywords "warm heart and sharp mind". The warm heart means that we put the human being at the center – here you should feel seen, appreciated, and heard. The sharp mind stands for our high technical competence, where we encourage innovation and own initiatives. We want you to be able to test new things and grow in your professional role, while having the security of a stable employment with fair terms and collective agreements via Almega.

The most important responsibilities in the role

Here are the areas that define the role and where you will spend most of your time:

  • Optimize toolchains and infrastructure: You design, build, and refine tools that simplify and improve the daily life of the organization's developers, with the goal of shortening lead times from code to production.
  • Containerization and storage: You develop and manage tools to seamlessly create containers and build solutions for secure storage of artifacts with a focus on traceability.
  • CI/CD and automated flows: You work continuously with incremental improvements related to release processes, automated flows, and version control.
  • Support and technical assistance: You act as technical support and assist the developers within the organization who use the tools developed by your group.

How does your development journey look?

Working as a consultant with us means you get the best of two worlds: an exciting assignment at the forefront of technology with our client, combined with the security and community of Infotiv.

  • Onboarding and support: During your first period, you have strong support from both your manager and your colleagues at Infotiv to help you settle into the role securely. Together with the client, we ensure that you receive the right introduction to the development environments, processes, and toolchains.
  • Ongoing dialogue: We have close dialogue and regular check-ins with both you and the client. We do this to ensure that the assignment matches your expectations, that you are happy, and that you have the tools you need to succeed in your daily work.
  • Competence development: Parallel to your assignment, you always have Infotiv's network of skilled engineers behind you. Here we gladly share knowledge, bounce complex architecture questions, and offer competence development so that you can continue to grow in your professional role.

The team and working methods

You will become part of an engaged and competent DevEx team. Together, you have a super important task: to create such a stable, intuitive, and well-oiled infrastructure that a new developer can deliver sharp code already on their very first day. The group works closely together in a Linux-based environment with a focus on automation and continuous improvement. There is great flexibility here with the possibility of remote work, but since the assignment involves defense material and has a high security classification, you need to have the possibility to work on-site at the office in Gothenburg when the project requires it.

Who are you today?

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you have:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in data, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent technical education.
  • A few years of experience in software development, software testing, or infrastructure around software products.
  • Good proficiency in programming in Python as well as scripting in Bash and good knowledge of Linux environments.
  • Experience with containerization via Docker and Kubernetes, as well as version control in Git and Jenkins.
  • The ability to make complex flows simple and a willingness to support and help other developers move forward.
  • Swedish citizenship (required due to security classification) as well as fluent skills in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
  • Desirable: Experience with tools such as Artifactory, BitBucket, and deeper experience with release processes and CI/CD architecture.

Application

Does this sound like your next step? Send in your application today as we interview candidates on an ongoing basis. We are especially curious about your technical journey, who you are when the workday is over, and what you dream of developing within next!

(Note that the position requires a passed security clearance check and that we, as part of our recruitment process, conduct drug testing if necessary).
