Your role as a RAN Systems Engineer in 5G

We are a team responsible for developing and improving the performance of 5G networks regarding available radio resources; for example, scheduling, link adaptation, time-critical communication, and antenna steering. You will have the opportunity to work on the design and specification of baseband algorithms, configure 5G networks, and analyze and optimize their performance. The role involves, among other things, executing and leading the implementation of new features in the base station, guiding our design and test teams through the development process, and analyzing any error reports at the system level. There is an opportunity to be involved in product development all the way from the idea stage to the deployment of features for major global customers.

You will be part of an in-house team together with colleagues who have many years of experience in the field. The work is based at our office on Lindholmen in Gothenburg, where you are given the opportunity to work from home two days a week. Travel may occur in the role.

Who are you?

The suitable educational profile is a Master of Science or PhD with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics, Computer Science, or another Master's/University education with a focus within Telecom and Communication Technology. Solid knowledge in communication theory and signal processing is particularly valuable. We are looking for a person with good knowledge of 3GPP-based communication systems, including 3G, 4G, and 5G, with particular emphasis on the lower layers of the protocol stack.

You should have an analytical approach and a strong ability and willingness to delve into complex problems within this domain. It is meritorious if you have good experience with various AI tools. We value that you are dedicated and self-initiative with excellent collaboration skills. It is important that you have a personal interest and drive to constantly develop your competence as part of a team of specialists and experts. Good knowledge of English is a requirement for the position, but it is also meritorious if you master Swedish. You should have a good ability to build professional relationships both internally and externally. Basic programming skills, such as in Python, C, Matlab, or similar, are meritorious, as these are used for performance evaluation and analysis.

As the position involves work that may be subject to defense secrecy, it is required that you undergo and pass a security clearance with a possible background check.
