About the Role

Are you a driven and analytical person with an eye for detail? As a License Specialist in our team, you play a key role where we jointly manage several central license agreements and license administration within Intraservice and towards the administrations and companies of the City of Gothenburg.

The team's mission is to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and contract-compliant management of software licenses. You will be one of our experts in the field, contributing your knowledge to analyze, develop, and optimize license usage and management within our operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with license agreements and regulations
  • Analyze license usage and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings
  • Manage license allocation and administration in license portals, such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and Adobe
  • Be responsible for the procurement of licenses and software
  • Collaborate with business units, suppliers, and other stakeholders to create a shared understanding of needs and usage
  • Participate in tenders, contract renewals, and strategic work regarding license investments

As one of the License Specialists in the team, you play a central role in developing and improving the organization's license management. Through close collaboration with colleagues and external partners, you contribute to efficient solutions that create value for the business.

About You

We are looking for someone who has previously worked with Software Asset Management (SAM) and license management. You have at least five years of work experience in the license area, meaning you have good knowledge of license management, license models, and SAM. You have experience analyzing and optimizing client and server licensing, preferably in large organizations.

You also have knowledge of volume agreements from one of the major vendors, such as Microsoft, Adobe, Broadcom, or IBM.

We expect you to have a relevant higher education degree, preferably in IT, economics, or law, or equivalent knowledge and experience that we assess as comparable. You have a good understanding of IT infrastructure, server environments, virtualization, databases, and cloud services to be able to analyze technical solutions and understand how the structure and usage of IT environments affect licensing, compliance, and costs. You also have knowledge or experience of IT service delivery and very good skills in both Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Certification in CSAM, ITAM, or ITIL
  • Experience working with a SAM tool, such as Snow, Flexera, or Xensam

Interviews are planned to be conducted during weeks 35 to 37.
