Your Role

We are currently looking for a Section Manager for Technical Information within Special Mission & Regional Aircraft. In this role, you will lead a team of approximately 15 technical writers working on platforms such as the Saab 340/2000, GlobalEye, T7, as well as Airbus and Boeing.

Within the function, you are responsible for producing and compiling flight and maintenance manuals for these platforms. You will collaborate closely with your own team and other competencies to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.

Here, you will have the opportunity to combine leadership with a genuine interest in flight technology, alongside competent colleagues who are passionate about conveying technical information correctly and clearly. The role involves many important interfaces with other parts of the organization, which you will actively contribute to developing and strengthening.

Main responsibilities:

• Drive and develop the section's work, both short-term and long-term
• Lead, distribute, and follow up on work within the team
• Develop and train employees
• Ensure the right resource requirements for ongoing assignments and projects
• Coach and support employees and drive improvements in collaboration with other functions
• Responsible for the section's budget

The position is located in Tannefors, Linköping, and you will report to the Head of Technical Information. You are also part of the management group for Technical Information and are expected to actively contribute to and drive issues with a holistic perspective.

Your Profile

To succeed in the role, you have the ability to inspire, create engagement, and communicate clearly, both within your own operations and towards other stakeholders. You have several years of leadership experience, preferably within a technology-oriented operation and with experience working with technical information.

You are a driving force in change and development work and thrive in a role where you can combine structure with a focus on development.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
