Job Information

Professionals Nord, in collaboration with our client, is looking for a Technical Writer in Linköping. You will work in a high-tech environment where technical documentation is a central part of the business and crucial for ensuring quality, safety, and traceability. Here, you will work with advanced technical documentation that demands high precision and compliance with regulations. You will become part of an experienced team, collaborating closely with engineers and specialists on projects with high quality standards.

This assignment is part of our staffing service. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for 12 months. The intention is that you may eventually be hired directly by the client, provided all parties are satisfied with the collaboration. Responsibilities

As a Technical Writer, you will create, update, and quality-assure technical documentation related to maintenance and technical systems. The work involves a strong focus on structure and analysis, ensuring that information is accurate, clear, and compliant with current regulations.

• Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
• Creating and updating instructions in maintenance manuals
• Producing and managing service bulletins in publication systems
• Working with technical information in XML-based structures
• Gathering, analyzing, and quality-assuring technical data from various sources
• Comparing and reviewing changes between previous and new versions of documentation

A significant part of the work consists of preparing and analyzing information before it is documented, which places high demands on structure, accuracy, and understanding of technical contexts.

We are looking for someone who

Has a technical background, for example in electrical engineering, mechanics, production, or similar, and experience working with technical information. You are accustomed to working in a structured manner and have the ability to see the big picture while understanding the details.

We prefer that you:

• Have a few years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar role
• Have worked in a technical environment, for example in industry or similar
• Have experience with structured documentation and rule-based working methods
• Thrive in a role where you drive your work forward independently
• Have a strong interest in technology and how systems interconnect
• Have excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Simplified Technical English (STE)
• XML, SGML, or similar structures
• iSpec 2200 and/or S1000D

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. This position requires a security classification and may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
