Your responsibilities

We are now looking for a new team member with the main role of Travel Assistance Case Worker. The work is largely independent, and you make decisions and handle cases according to current legislation. As a case worker, you discuss complex cases with your colleagues and manager.

The tasks include investigating, assessing, and making decisions regarding travel assistance, national travel assistance, parking permits for people with mobility impairments, and mobility aids. You contact legal authorities, write statements, and handle appeals. The assignment also involves informing, supporting, and guiding citizens both via phone contact and, for example, during visits to nursing homes or voluntary organizations. This may also involve contact with other important parties such as doctors, occupational therapists, or guardians. You work actively with quality issues and contribute to developing the operations both individually and together with your colleagues.

Your workplace

The Urban Environment Department is part of the Environmental and Community Development Administration; we run an exciting operation where you get to see everything that happens in Linköping Municipality!

The position is located at the Environmental and Community Development Administration, Urban Environment Department. At the Urban Environment Department, you belong to the Special Public Transport group within the Support Unit, where the department support group is also located, including the department's object specialist, operations support, and administrators. You will be part of a group of five case workers led by a group manager. We now need to strengthen our team and are therefore looking for a new colleague!

We are located in newly built premises in Ebbepark and work in an activity-based manner; there are good opportunities for both individual work and creative meetings. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays without holidays, with flexible working hours. The working hours are 8-17. There is an opportunity to work remotely 1-2 days a week when the work allows.

You who apply

As a Travel Assistance Case Worker, you have a university degree in social work, health and care, or other education considered equivalent. Examples of professional positions could be occupational therapist, physiotherapist, social worker, or nurse. Experience from public authority work and knowledge of administrative law are considered meritorious.

The job requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as you will have many contacts with various internal and external actors, as well as handle complex written information.

We are looking for someone who finds it easy to work independently and takes responsibility for their tasks. You plan and prioritize them effectively while being careful and aware of quality standards and goals. You have good linguistic skills, you absorb information, and have the ability to produce your own high-quality documents. Just as you thrive working independently, you enjoy collaborating with your team. You have an interest and ability to help others and are accommodating in your approach.
