The assignment will be within the Gripen Business Unit, which focuses on the development, production, maintenance, and operational support of the Gripen combat aircraft system. We possess all the competencies required to provide a complete product and service offering to our customers to support their operations. You will belong to the Commercial & Estimating department, organized within the Sales unit. We believe in always striving to win and conduct a sound and profitable business based on knowledge and good business terms.

Your responsibilities

As Estimating Manager, you will prepare and provide input for the Gripen Business Unit for ongoing and new contracts.

In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for estimates in connection with new business and the execution of existing contracts. You will be based in Linköping but are expected to have frequent contact with other business areas within Saab. You will be part of a team where you lead and drive estimate-related issues.

Your responsibilities include:

• Being responsible for estimates by coordinating and evaluating economic and commercial costs. Compiling estimates, assumptions, risks/opportunities from all technical areas.
• Helping to develop suitable business models and business structures.
• Identifying improvement initiatives as part of the work towards the area's long-term goals.

Your profile We would like you to have a university degree in a relevant field, such as economics or civil engineering, and enjoy working with Excel. We also believe you have well-developed analytical skills and good business understanding. You have the ability to combine strategic thinking with high analytical ability and thrive in a team environment. You are comfortable in a complex environment, have a pragmatic and cooperative attitude, and are motivated by working focused even during intensive periods. We value relevant experience in estimating and pricing.

The position requires very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
