Västerskolan is a preschool class to grade 3 school located in Knislinge. At the school, we actively work to develop the operations in various ways, including promoting and preventive work based on Västerskolan's vision and pedagogical platform - Communication as the Path to Learning. Communication, Context, Expectations, Motivation, and Challenge are the five words that form the foundation of Västerskolan's pedagogical platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We want you to share our view that student participation and understanding of what is to be learned is important, and that this motivates our students and encourages them to take responsibility. You will work in a team where the school and the after-school center jointly are responsible for the students. The role of Lead Teacher in the after-school center entails significant responsibility, both pedagogically and administratively, with a focus on development regardless of whether you work in the classroom during school hours or at the after-school center in the afternoons. Together with other staff, you lead the development of operations, the collaboration between the school and the after-school center, provide leadership and guidance, and follow up on systematic quality work in Stratsys.

QUALIFICATIONS

We require you to be a trained teacher in after-school pedagogy, a recreation leader, or a primary school teacher with a license to teach at the after-school center, or have education/competence that the employer deems suitable for the position.

Teaching at the after-school center is adapted to the group's needs, and together with the rest of the team, you plan to increase goal achievement. Teaching during school hours should be adapted to each student's prerequisites, and lessons should be characterized by clear expectations, peace and quiet, and a desire to learn.

It is a requirement that you are well acquainted with and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers, are well-versed in the primary school curriculum, and have the ability to translate this into practice. As a pedagogue, you have good didactic skills and the ability to stimulate students in their development, as well as the ability to adapt pedagogical activities to each student's prerequisites and needs. It is a great advantage if you have experience working in teams.

As a person, you have good self-insight and high personal maturity. You are accustomed to and enjoy taking clear leadership. You are calm and secure as a person, which enables you to handle changing situations and unexpected events. When these occur, you work to resolve them in a methodical and structured manner. Furthermore, you have the ability to structure, plan, and prioritize your work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, and you take personal responsibility for improving it. You enjoy working in teams and value collegial learning highly. Systematic quality work is important, and you carry this out together with your colleagues.

We also believe that you have a professional demeanor in your interactions with students, colleagues, and guardians, while being responsive and patient.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is important that you are computer literate and have the ability to integrate technology and digital tools into teaching.

An extract from the criminal record register for schools and preschools must be presented before employment can be offered.
