Rickarums School and Preschool is located in a small community where many parents and villagers are passionate about the operations and contribute to the community spirit and creative learning environment.

Nature is our primary pedagogical space. It gives children and staff the opportunity to use the surroundings—forests, lakes, and meadows—for creative learning and a healthy work environment.

With approximately 50 children in the preschool and 50 students in the school, everyone knows each other. This allows for age-integrated and flexible work that promotes each child's development. Staff members across different parts of the organization work together to create learning based on care, competence, and heart. The team consists of approximately 30 people. We place great emphasis on a work environment where staff, students, and children feel joy in coming to the preschool and school in the morning.

Does Rickarum sound remote? Not at all – the school is located 25 km from Kristianstad and Hässleholm, and in less than an hour, you are in Malmö or Lund. A hidden gem in a vibrant countryside with short distances to everything.

About the Position

We are now looking for a full-time (100%) Educator for Early Childhood (Barnskötare) on a fixed-term contract. You will primarily work on a toddler department together with another educator and a preschool teacher, but also function as a substitute on other departments as planned.

About Us

Rickarums School Association has run a preschool since 2012 and a grades F-5 school and after-school center since 2015, known as "the little school in nature." We are a non-profit association that reinvests any profit into the operations and grows at a sustainable pace. Meals are prepared from scratch in our own new kitchen. • is skilled at documentation and masters the Swedish language in speech and writing

• wants to develop an operation with the vision that nature should be the primary learning environment

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Educated as an Educator for Early Childhood (Barnskötare) and familiar with the preschool curriculum and documentation

Merits:

• Experience working as an Educator for Early Childhood
• Experience and interest in outdoor pedagogy and experiential learning
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Experience working in a private school and/or experience in non-profit operations
