Our adapted primary school is growing, and we are facing exciting developments!

This autumn, we are opening a completely new unit – Agneberg School in Hanaskog. This means that the municipality will henceforth have two adapted primary schools (grades 1–9) that collaborate closely, exchange experiences, and work together as a strong team:

• Vita School in Knislinge: An established and well-functioning unit with good cohesion and solid competence.
• Agneberg School in Hanaskog: Our newly started unit where you will get to shape the operations and learning environment from the start.

3 Positions Available

Job Responsibilities

We are now recruiting staff for separate placements: one position at Vita School (subject focus) and one position at Agneberg School (subject area focus).

Both positions are unique combined roles where you become a consistent thread in the student's daily life, moving between different arenas throughout the day:

• Student Assistant (main part): You function as support for students in the classroom during the school day and are an active part of our after-school care in the afternoons. You support students based on their individual prerequisites, help structure the day, and meet them in their care needs.
• Social Pedagogue (allocated time): You have allocated time during the week dedicated to social pedagogical work. Here, you work more comprehensively and preventively with safety work, conflict management, and structured conversations with individual students or groups to strengthen the social environment.

Since our two schools collaborate closely, there will also be room for experience exchange and cooperation between you and your social pedagogical colleague at the other school. You collaborate closely with the class mentor, other colleagues in the team, the school's social team, and have a professional role in contact with guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have great commitment, see opportunities, and believe in diversity. You have a great ability and confidence in switching between practical student support here and now, and overarching social pedagogical work.

Requirements for the positions:

• Education as a social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or other post-secondary pedagogical/behavioral science education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Experience in working with a low-affective approach.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written).
• Swimming proficiency.

Merits:

• Experience working with students in adapted primary school (especially meritorious with experience in subjects or subject areas depending on which position you match) and/or after-school care.
• Knowledge in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and visual supports.
