Job Description

In this role, you may encounter situations involving threatening behavior or violence. Therefore, it is important that you feel confident handling such situations in a professional and calm manner. We are looking for someone who can maintain focus and make decisions under pressure, and who can treat individuals with respect even in challenging situations. Experience working in environments where threats and violence occur is an advantage.

At Gonarp's group home, we work based on low-affective handling with a strong focus on clarifying pedagogy. It is important to us that you are comfortable taking significant responsibility in your work, guided by a large dose of common sense. You should strive to develop a secure daily life for our users together with your colleagues. Therefore, it is important that you can see the user's perspective and adapt your working method accordingly.

Qualifications

We want you to be trained as a support assistant. Additional qualifications such as support pedagogy, social pedagogy, or other training deemed equivalent by the employer are meritorious. We would appreciate experience with low-affective handling, NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), EIPS (Emotional Impulse Problems), self-harming behavior, and communication support.

You have a good attitude towards people, are responsible, easy to collaborate with, and flexible in your work. You are a team player who values cooperation and open dialogue. In new, complex groups, you stand firm, contribute with calmness and clarity, and help build a secure and positive work climate. It is important to be able to work both independently and in a team, following routines, decisions, and action plans with the users' best interests in focus.

Since documentation is part of the job, you need good communication skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is highly valued.

The position includes solo work as well as day, evening, on-call, and weekend shifts.
