Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for providing individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also operates closed youth care facilities. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. At SiS, your working life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog receives non-compulsory school-age girls with psychosocial issues, substance abuse, and self-harm problems. The institution is tasked with providing care for girls with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing change for vulnerable people? Then the role of Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a Treatment Pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified nursing and motivational work and act as a support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the completion of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your job, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that daily life runs smoothly with school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. Contact person duties are also one of your tasks. The job may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

We are looking for employees for night shifts as well as employees working day and evening shifts.
We are looking for permanent positions, temporary positions, and hourly employees.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's basic training of 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and supervised introduction, equipping you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications for Treatment Pedagogue
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's value base, being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are secure in yourself and easily build relationships with young people as well as with the rest of the staff group. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to cooperate with others and can handle conflicts in a constructive way.
You must also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent
- B driving license
- Good Swedish in speech and writing

Qualifications for Treatment Assistant
You must also have:
- Completed secondary education
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or within LSS care
- B driving license
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
