Your main responsibilities:

  • Support the student in pedagogical and social work based on the student's individual development plan.
  • Clarify and structure the school day using tools such as visual supports (TAKK/AKK) or other adapted tools.
  • Assist with daily situations, transfers, and potentially personal/medical care.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other pedagogical team members to create a safe learning environment.
  • Contribute to an active and meaningful leisure time after the end of the school day.

Qualifications

You who apply have at least a completed upper secondary education. It is meritorious to have a focus on care (or equivalent knowledge through at least two years of experience with children and young people with disabilities/intellectual disabilities). You need to have experience working in an adapted primary school. You also need knowledge of various diagnoses and disabilities and how they are met, knowledge of alternative communication methods, and knowledge of low-arousal approaches. You have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is further meritorious if you have

  • Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) or TAKK (Signs as Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
  • Experience with low-arousal approaches (LAB).

Who are you? We are looking for you who have a big heart, a good dose of patience, and a natural ability to see the student's strengths rather than obstacles. You are flexible and can quickly adapt when conditions change, while being a safe and stable adult.

Welcome with your application!
