Driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
Our newly formed cross-functional organization, Integrated Systems Halmstad, is responsible for the development and service of mechanics and power systems for Saab Surveillance sensors and command and control systems. We are now in the fortunate position of having many customers who want our solutions, which means we need to grow our team.
We work on everything from studies and concept development to participating in the installation of finished products. This means you will, among other things, handle requirements, analyze different design solutions, and develop finished mechanical design solutions with manufacturing documentation. Examples include vehicle adaptations & sensor system mounts, integration, verification, review, troubleshooting, and supporting production with technical solutions.
Our products require high reliability and must function in all types of environments. Therefore, you must also take into account the significant mechanical stresses and varying temperatures and environments they are exposed to.
You will join a team where collaboration is key to succeeding in our tasks.
This involves extensive collaboration within the team, but also with component engineers, calculation engineers, production staff, project managers, purchasers, and not least with other development teams.
Your Profile
To succeed, we believe you have some form of engineering degree in Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or Design and Product Development. Ideally, the candidate we are looking for has one or several years of work experience in a relevant application. We are looking for someone who has the ability to see simple solutions in complex problems and who is engaged, goal-oriented, and results-driven in their work approach. You have the desire to continuously develop both as a person and as a designer.
The role also requires good communication skills both internally and externally. Good teamwork skills and the ability to work independently are requirements, as teamwork is built on helping each other succeed.
Desired Experience & Competence:
- Ability to make design choices within the mechanical field
- Investigate, search for information, and compile/write requirement and design specifications, as well as review documentation
- Experience in CAD design, preferably Creo, but this is not a requirement.
- You have good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Ability to set requirements for purchases from third-party suppliers.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
