Job Description

We are now looking for you, a qualified music teacher, for Kulladalsskolan! You will be part of a collegium of teachers where you together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, and decide on any needs for, for example, subject integration or project studies in your teaching. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 1-6 in music, where you educate and support the students in their knowledge-based and social development. You challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Kulladalsskolan, you are offered the opportunity for development and exciting assignments regarding music education, as well as organizing and handling choir singing. You will have the opportunity and encouragement to collaborate with teachers and mentors at the school to create exciting cross-curricular and thematic teaching. You will be led by a manager who is close to operations and engaged in the school's teaching and quality. The teaching takes place in both full and half classes depending on the grade. Your assignment will also include planning and conducting Christmas and summer closures, Lucia celebrations, and participating in other activity days based on music and creativity. You will have a primary focus on music education and the organization of music regarding closures and activity days, which means that mentorship is not part of the job duties. You need to have good technical knowledge regarding music equipment and sound systems to be helpful in using this equipment when the school needs to use it for activities during the school year.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher with eligibility for teaching music in grades 1-6. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we see this as an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study quiet and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools.

Naturally, you have a professional attitude and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. To fit as a music teacher with us, it is important that you are technically knowledgeable regarding musical instruments and sound systems. You need to be engaged and willing to be well involved in the school's choir singing, closures, and activities based on music and creativity, as well as enjoying collaborating cross-curricularly and thematically with teachers and mentors.

Kulladalsskolan is a preschool to grade 6 school with approx. 560 students, and just over 380 students attend the after-school center.
