We are currently looking for female personal assistants for an active 6-year-old boy living in Bromma.

The client is a 6-year-old boy with autism who lives with his parents in Bromma. On weekdays, he attends preschool and afterwards needs a personal assistant by his side.

The client is an active and creative boy who enjoys walks and spending time outdoors in the park. He is playful and likes playing with train tracks and Duplo, and has a great interest in animals, music, and instruments. He has limited verbal communication and uses Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and visual supports. He also uses a TalkPad to support his communication.

You who apply have a big heart and are committed to your work. You are self-assured, calm, playful, and empathetic. You have great patience and are communicative, with the ability to read situations, signals, and potential risks. Since the client is active and rarely sits still, you need to be able to keep up with his pace. We believe you are self-motivated and driven, and can help the client with a pedagogical and positive attitude.

We would appreciate it if you have previous experience working with children, preferably with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Experience with tube feeding and knowledge of working with PECS is a plus.

What does the job as a personal assistant involve?

As a personal assistant, you work with a person with a disability. There, you help with the things in everyday life that many take for granted, such as dressing, housekeeping, personal hygiene, and participating in leisure activities. You make a big difference and help make another person's daily life function.

We have clients of different ages and with different disabilities. Your workplace is where the client is located, and the job is both varied and eventful. We believe that contributing every day to help a person live their life as they wish is the most important job in the world.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are engaged, respectful, and responsive. We would appreciate it if you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you can be the assistant we are looking for.

We would appreciate it if you:

  • have a genuine interest in helping others.
  • can understand and communicate in Swedish.
  • can work flexible hours - day, evening, and weekend. Some of our positions also require you to work nights.
  • have experience in healthcare and social care. (This is a plus, but not a requirement).
