Job Description
Are you an experienced leader interested in working as an interim manager for approximately 4-5 months? Our client, active in public transport in Skövde, is currently looking for a Department Manager.
In the role of Department Manager for Traffic, you are responsible for tendering, establishing, monitoring, and developing traffic services together with 8 employees. As Department Manager, you are responsible for ensuring and developing business relationships with tendered partners, as well as for the department's operational and strategic activities and the development of the team and its working methods. You drive the business forward together with your employees, your colleagues responsible for the other department, and support functions within the demand-responsive transport operations, other functions in the company, tendered partners, and other actors in the industry. You ensure continuous monitoring and development of the tendered services within the framework of traffic agreements as well as customer and travel service agreements, and ensure that the department acts to meet the goal of sustainable demand-responsive transport for all parties. You are part of the Demand-Responsive Transport Strategic Coordination Group and are thus involved in the overall strategic business and personnel planning. You have personnel responsibility for 8 employees.

This is a consulting assignment starting in late August and running until the end of December, with a scope of 100%.

Qualifications
- Several years of documented experience in leadership with personnel responsibility.
- Documented and successful experience in change management.
- Post-secondary education in economics, law, management, or another relevant direction (or equivalent work experience assessed as comparable).
- Clear, direct, and business-like communication skills in both speech and writing.
- A strong customer focus, proactive work approach, and high flexibility in an operation-driven daily routine.
Merits:
- Experience and deeper understanding of public transport or publicly governed operations.
- Experience with public procurement (LOU), establishment, and monitoring of complex contracts.
