Department Manager for Local Cleaning

Mariestads drift- och servicebolag AB is a new company with the mission to create value throughout the Mariestad municipal group – for our common customers: residents, businesses, visitors, and operations within the municipal group.

Through close collaboration with the group's companies and administrations, we coordinate and develop operations and services that contribute to a functioning, safe, and attractive Mariestad – with care for the city, the people living and working here, and the customers we serve.

Our business areas include Operations and Projects, Service Center, and Local Cleaning, and it is within the Local Cleaning area that we are now seeking a Department Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Department Manager for Local Cleaning, you have overall responsibility for approximately 50 dedicated employees who ensure that schools, preschools, elderly care, and other municipal premises are clean, pleasant, and functioning well. We strive to minimize our environmental impact and work continuously to modernize our equipment and keep up with developments within the business area. Ergonomics and working environment are therefore highly prioritized areas.

You will become a key person in our company and be responsible for both operational and strategic work within the Local Cleaning business area.

You will, among other things:

• Lead, plan, and develop both employees and operations together with a colleague
• Be responsible for personnel, budget, working environment, and quality
• Coordinate projects and assignments in close dialogue with customers and municipal operations
• Create a working environment where employees thrive, grow, and feel pride in their work
• Drive development in environmental issues, ergonomics, and modernization of equipment
• Work for good cooperation with our customers

Your workplace is based at Förrådsgatan in Mariestad.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You must have documented experience of leadership, workforce management, and budget responsibility. Furthermore, you are a confident leader, preferably with experience from the cleaning industry, and you have a strong commitment to service and people.

As a person, you are relationship-building, solution-oriented, and accustomed to working in a structured manner. You have the ability to lead, inspire, and create engagement in a developing operation. You have IT skills and an interest in digitalization.

A B-driver's license is a requirement for the position.
