Your responsibilities

As a primary and lower secondary school teacher in Leksand Municipality, you work pedagogically and socially based on the organization's goals and guidelines, as well as current regulatory documents. A major focus for Leksand Municipality's school operations now and in the future is the development of students' reading and writing skills, which is integrated with the current curriculum that you are well-acquainted with. You are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching and work to promote students' learning and development.

You will work as a teacher in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and technology. The responsibilities include collaboration with colleagues as well as communication with students and guardians. Together with your colleagues, you will participate in projects aimed at developing teaching and increasing student goal achievement. A current focus area for us is to raise the merit value in mathematics.

Your profile

• We are looking for you who are a certified primary and lower secondary school teacher for grades 7-9 with eligibility in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO).
• Experience in the teaching profession is meritorious.

As a person, you are flexible and accustomed to planning your work independently. You are solution-oriented and have a good ability to view situations from a holistic perspective.

You are also clear, secure, creative, and have the ability to inspire our students. You enjoy working in a team and share your experiences for collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developmental, and stimulating learning environment for the students.

About the workplace

Sammilsdalskolan 7-9 is a lower secondary school with just over 460 students in six parallel classes. We use Google platforms with students and Teams for communication among staff. We work according to a Language, Reading, and Writing Plan at all schools in the municipality. This initiative is visible in all school subjects, not just Swedish.
